Launch detection & label events

Hello everyone. In this video, I will explain how to automatically detect three types of biomarkers: epileptic spikes, ripples, and fast ripples.

Once your signal has been prepared and
set to a bipolar montage, you can launch
a detection on the desired biomarker.

For each detector, you will be able to modify parameters in the Parameter window or keep the default settings.

You can, for instance, select a time window on which the detection will be run.

You can then launch the detection.

You can only launch one detection at a time, and you cannot cancel a detection once it has been launched.

Once the detection has finished running, you will be able to see colored dots appear in the navigation bar below.

These indicate the localization of detected events in your signal.
Epileptic spikes are represented in blue, ripples in yellow, and fast ripples in red. You will also be able to see these markings in the signal trace around detected events.

You can click on these to open events in the
Event Viewer.
In the Event Viewer, you can review
detected biomarkers in detail.

Each event is characterized by several
metrics, which you can later export in an Excel format.

For each detected event, you have the possibility of giving a confidence rating.
This rating indicates how confident you are that the event is actually a biomarker of epilepsy.

You can then filter events by confidence
rating, and you can also filter by electrode and channel.

Enjoy reviewing your events!
