The topographic map: Visualize a summary of your detection
Hello everyone, in this video we are going to learn how to generate a topographic map.
You can start by going to the Edit menu and opening the Implantation window.
Here, you can select the electrodes you want to include in your topographic map.
You can move electrodes from the right to the left hemisphere to match your implantation scheme.
You can remove electrodes by dragging them out of the window,or add electrodes by going on Show electrodes and selecting the ones
you need.
Once your setup is ready, you can save and close.
You can open topographic maps for each biomarker from the View menu.
Note that you will need to have launched your detections before generating a topographic map.
This map represents the distribution of detected events across channels and electrodes.
The right side shows electrodes located in the right hemisphere, and the left side shows electrodes located in the left hemisphere.
A color code is used to highlight channels with a higher number of detected events.
You can choose to show the absolute number of events, the rate per minute, or the rate per hour.
You can also choose to show events based on your previously assigned confidence ratings.
Topographic maps also include panels that give you additional information on the detected events.
For fast ripples, you can here see the distribution of centroid frequencies.
This visual representation should hopefully help you to better interpret the results of your detections.
